Karratha has recently gained a state-of-the-art venue for culture, functions and community events.It’s a captivating building, in tune with the geology, history and physical contours of the landscape, and in 2018 the project received the Master Builders Bankwest Excellence in Construction award.There’s a cutting edge public library, an auditorium holding 478, two sleek foyer spaces which can put on exhibitions of Aboriginal art and two smaller studio theatres.For large-scale events you’ve got the amphitheatre beside the main building and with a capacity of 2,000, and then there’s the spectacular “Shelf” a rooftop terrace with sensational views over Karratha

I visited this arts center to give the library papers of Historical value. The center is very large and includes a very large art center, a comprehensive library, a movie theater and performing arts theater . It is near new and very clean and tidy. The entrance allows access to disabled people there being no difficult steps or barriers to negotiate.It is an impressive place. Also the parking area is large so parking very easy. The precinct is also very near a shopping center so very convenient. A great place to spend some time in.

Beautiful theatre but oh my the SEATS! My lower back was numb, it took hours to stop aching after the movie finished.I can't go back knowing the pain I'll be in afterwards.

Stopped by Karratha one night on the same night as a bushfire relief concert in February. Surprisingly great music, crowd, and venue at Red Earth! Had a wonderful time. Check it out!

Very nice and well laid out.I was part of the team who did the ground works many years ago. Roads,paths,planting etc. Nice to come back and see the progress.

Saw a movie in the theatre for the first time. CHANGE THE SEATS. For a theatre and movie cinema. Those seats are horrible to sit in. They must have found the cheapest fold down seats. The walking Walkington Thearte before it was then down had seats better than these. We sat for a 1.50min movie and the amount of times myself, hubby, mum and other patrons in the movie shuffled and shifted was annoying. I wouldn't want to be seated in there for a longer showing. They are incredibly narrow. I'm not a big person at all and you are touching arms to the person next to you. Cant even put your hand up to your face eg without k coking the person next to you. Venue is clean however, staff are friendly. But seating is a major let down

We went for a 1pm movie here on 23/10/22. The fire alarm went off in the beginning and when they presumed screening, they started from second half of the movie. When asked, the staff mentioned they wouldn't start from where we left because they have to go home early since it was a sunday. Real disappointment!

Good setup, can be booked for events and social functions. Normally a theatre.
